Partnering for progress: Red Sea Global’s
digital journey
Red Sea Global | Saudi Arabia
Managing complexity with digital precision
One of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s most successful Public Investment Fund (PIF) companies, Red Sea Global (formerly The Red Sea Development Company), is leading one of the country’s most ambitious Giga-Projects, aligned with Vision 2030. The Red Sea Project aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a global destination for tourism, innovation, and sustainable development, encompassing luxury resorts, infrastructure, and supporting facilities along the Red Sea coast.
To manage the complexity of this multi-billion-dollar initiative—planning, design, construction, and operations—Red Sea Global required an enterprise-grade, integrated project management information system (PMIS). Consertus was engaged to deliver a digital transformation roadmap and implement a scalable, cloud-based ecosystem to support planning, controls, collaboration, cost management, and ongoing innovation.

Enabling scalable digital delivery
In 2019, Red Sea Global partnered with Consertus to implement the core PMIS applications that would serve as the digital backbone of their ambitious development vision. At the time, Red Sea Global was using an on-premise setup, which made it harder to scale, collaborate, and manage data across different teams and projects. This marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration centered on building a scalable, intelligent, and future-ready digital ecosystem.
Our work with Red Sea Global started with a clear goal: Help them get full value from the technology investments they had already made while building a practical and scalable system to support their growing portfolio. We began by establishing a digital strategy that aligned with the team’s project delivery needs and long-term vision. This involved assessing the software and tools Red Sea Global had already invested in and creating a plan to integrate and optimize them—rather than starting from scratch. Our focus was always on ensuring that technology worked for the business, not the other way around.
Continuity and trust
fuel long-term success
To keep progress on track and decisions aligned with business goals, we put in place strong delivery governance.
Monthly Steering Committees were set up with senior leadership to align on priorities, address challenges, and track progress at the strategic level. Monthly Operating Committees focused on day-to-day delivery, ensuring smooth coordination between technical teams and project stakeholders. We adopted a 90-day sprint delivery model, breaking work into focused cycles with clear deliverables, timelines, and business outcomes. This approach allowed us to deliver value quickly, respond to changes in project scope or requirements, and maintain steady progress without overwhelming teams.
One of the most important factors in the success of this long-term engagement has been continuity and trust. Over the years, the core Consertus and Red Sea Global team members have remained consistent—building strong working relationships and mutual understanding. This trust has been critical to navigating complex challenges, scaling the solution as Red Sea Global’s needs evolved, and driving long-term success.

The right foundation
to scale ambitions
Delivering a digital backbone for a multi-billion-dollar program like Red Sea Global’s is a mission-critical responsibility. With multiple mega-projects under development—spanning hospitality, infrastructure, and environmental restoration—Red Sea Global needed a way to manage complexity, scale operations, and coordinate hundreds of stakeholders across planning, design, construction, and operations.
This wasn’t just about implementing software—it was about setting up the systems and processes that would enable Red Seal Global to manage risk, control costs, and deliver its projects on time and within budget. The right foundation was essential to ensure Red Sea Global could meet both the pace and scale of its ambitions while maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability.
This engagement enables Red Sea Global to run its entire development portfolio more efficiently, transparently, and collaboratively. With Consertus’ guidance, Red Sea Global now operates with a fully integrated, cloud-based environment that connects scheduling, cost management, design coordination, document control, and reporting—allowing for:
Centralized visibility
across all active and future projects.
Faster, more informed decision-making.
Improved alignment between internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
Reduced project delays and cost overruns.
Greater accountability and governance through structured reporting and workflows.
The established digital strategy, governance structure, and sprint-based delivery model have set a new standard for managing capital programs in the region.
